Library Services

  • Books Circulation: It is book issue, return and renewal of books. A student can issue 05 nos. of books in their scheduled time for 14 days. After the due date books are to be renewed unless there will be fine of Rs.1/per day
  • Book Bank: Student volunteered to become member of book bank have to pay Rs.1200 /- for the period of 6 semester i.e. 3year which is refundable. At the beginning of semester they will pay Rs 400 /- for maintenance charge of book bank which is non refundable.
  • Reference Service: There are a Reference section where books kept to be referred and read by students and staff of college.
  • New Arrival: The books which are recently arrived in library , these books are separately kept for the awareness of faculty and students
  • Reprographic Service : There is a Xerox machine in library where all can photocopy the books and documents
  • E-Document Delivery Service : Students can request certain e-content with detailed information for deliver by mail or USB port
  • Web-OPAC : Web OPAC is the Online Public Access Catalogue which allows users avail the services can search the information of library record.
  • News Clipping : Library regularly keep News paper cutting for the use of its user.

Digital Library Services

  • In this section there are 10 no computers with Internet connectivity to access the e-resources that is e-book, e-journals, data bases and video lectures.
  • Library is a member of DELNET(Developing Library Network). You can access DELNET by User ID and Password available in Library.

  • You can access National Digital Library of India (NDLI) . It’s a great source to access e-contents and it is open to all. It is managed by IIT, Kharagpur

  • There is another source for video lectures and courseware that is NPTEL(National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning).NPTEL is a online learning initiatives by IITs and IISc. It operates an educational You Tube channel covering engineering , basic sciences and some humanities and social science subjects

Library Rules & Regulations

  • All Students, faculty members and other staffs  of Synergy Polytechnic related to  Academic Community are the member of  Library.
  • Users are not allowed to enter the Library without his/her own Identity –cum-Library card.
  • All members as well as visitors are required to keep their personal belongings such as personal books, issued books, bags etc. at the property counter while entering the library. 
  • Use of mobile phones, spitting, smoking, drinking, eating or chewing of tobacco, sleeping, loitering, gossiping inside the library is strictly forbidden. Appropriate action will be taken for breaking of rules.
  • The students  are advised not to leave cell phones, purse, money, credit card and other valuables assets in the handbag at the property counter. Library is not responsible for any lost of these items.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library.
  • Issued books must be returned or renewed on or before the due date so as to avoid overdue charges.
    Library books are meant for maximum circulation for users benefit , so the users are requested to rotate the books to make them available for use by other members as well. 
    E-library is only for accessing electronic resources. Personal work like email, social networking and chatting sites etc. are not allowed within the e-Library
  • The Librarian can recall any issued book at any time.
  • Members are advised to leave the books after consultation on table to avoid misplacement of books inside the reading room.
  • Members should check the borrowing books thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc. while taking the books and report the matter to the Staff.
  • Books borrowed should be protected from RAIN, DUST, INSECT, etc. and must be returned in the same condition as it was issued
  • Users should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement of the document or double cost of the document.
  • Students are  not allowed to borrow books using others Library card/I-card.
  • Reference documents like Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Year Books, Journals (Loose & Bound), Magazines, Theses, Project Reports, Handbooks will not be issued out.
  • It is mandatory to put signature for users as well as visitors in the Gate register at the time of arrival and departure
